ResumePilot.company ("we", "us") provides AI-powered resume analysis and tailoring tools. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: name, email address, and authentication identifiers when you sign in via email or Google.
  • Resume content: files (PDF, DOCX, TXT) and text you upload or paste for ATS scanning and tailoring.
  • Job descriptions: any text you provide for tailoring.
  • Usage data: feedback, attempt counts, and activity events used to operate the product.
  • Cookies: essential cookies for authentication and, if enabled, analytics cookies for aggregate usage measurement.

2. Resume Uploads & AI Processing

When you scan or tailor a resume, the text is sent to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) via secure API to generate results. We do not sell your resume content and do not use it to train public models. Providers process content under their own commercial terms.

3. Authentication

Authentication is handled through our backend provider using industry-standard OAuth 2.1 and JWTs. Passwords are never stored in plaintext.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for sessions. Optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) may be used to understand aggregate product usage; these are enabled only when the site operator configures an analytics ID.

5. Data Retention

Resumes, ATS reports, and tailored versions are retained in your account until you delete them or delete your account. Aggregate feedback and usage records are retained for product improvement.

6. Your Rights

You may access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us. Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have additional rights including data portability and objection to processing.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to production data is restricted and protected by row-level security policies.

8. Children

ResumePilot.company is not intended for users under 16.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date.
